Bush disappointed in lengthy Supreme Court hearing

MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina – President Bush was hoping his new Supreme Court nominee could be confirmed by Christmas. But now, it's clear that won't happen. Bush is disappointed.

The Senate announced confirmation hearings for Samuel Alito will start on Jan. 9. The goal is to have a final confirmation vote on Jan. 20.

Bush told reporters in Argentina he's "disappointed in the date." But he's "happy" that at least there is a firm date for the start of the hearings.

He again made a pitch for Alito's confirmation, calling him "an incredibly intelligent, well-qualified person."

Oh, screw it.

Suck me off sideways, you little prick, Fuckface.

9. I understand...
...and I think we all read this little vermin's words and feel outraged.

He's "disappointed". How dare he!

The little thug, who has been lying to us for many years--while bankrupting us, destroying out standing in the world, dragging his feet while people die in NOLA, sanctioning torture--has the audacity to express how inconvenienced he is.

Pardon me, but this is like Charles Manson expressing a bit of displeasure because the water that he was provided at his trial--didn't have enough ice in it.

I'm outraged that this president only feels "disappointment" right now. Maybe if he allowed his denial to melt--he could face reality and see himself in the light of reality.

He deserves to feel these things, about himself, in vivid technicolor:

ASHAMED
UNSUITABLE
SIMPLE-MINDED
HUMILIATED
BRAINLESS
EMBARRASSED
HUMBLED
BROKEN
SHEEPISH
CRUSHED
INCAPABLE
DEPRESSED
UNDESERVING
MORTIFIED
AMATEURISH
FRAUDULENT
INCOMPETENT
UNQUALIFIED
DISGRACEFUL
WORTHLESS
DISTRAUGHT
IMMATURE
DEVIANT
INADEQUATE
VALUELESS
DEFICIENT
MEAGER
RED-FACED
UNINTELLIGENT
CLASSLESS
DESPONDENT
...AND THAT'S JUST FOR STARTERS...

11. Don't worry, Bush -- you'll get a speedy criminal trial
The son-of-a-bitch should be worried about his own damned trial.

I can't wait to see him frog-marched to Gitmo.

16. Hearing Date for Alito Leaves Bush Disappointed

Hearing Date for Alito Leaves Bush Disappointed

By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK

WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 - President Bush said Friday that he was disappointed with the January date set by Senate Republican leaders for hearings on the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Samuel A. Alito Jr.

Mr. Bush had called for hearings to be held before Christmas. A fast timetable would have limited the opportunity for liberal groups to rally opposition to confirmation, perhaps helping the president claim a big victory at a time when polls show that his popularity has plunged.

But the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Arlen Specter, Republican of Pennsylvania, said Thursday that leaders of both parties had agreed to start the hearings on Jan. 9 so the committee's staff would have time to digest opinions written by Judge Alito in 15 years on a federal appeals court.

"I'm disappointed in the date, but happy they do have a firm date for his confirmation hearing," Mr. Bush told reporters Friday in Mar del Plata, Argentina, where he was attending the Summit of the Americas.

21. In a hurry?
"....But at my back I always hear
Time's wingèd chariot hurrying near...."

He's losing political capital at about the same rate that we're losing money and lives in Iraq. Yeah, I'll bet he'd like a quick confirmation.

But he wasn't willing to nominate a moderate, so he will have to wait--and every day the stench off his Administration grows stronger. By the new year, he may be lucky to be able to nominate someone to get him a cup of coffee.
