DOD says Ed Schultz's talk show will air on AFR network
WASHINGTON — Defense Department officials have promised that the Ed Schultz show will air on American Forces Radio, but no launch date has been set.
The liberal talk show host had been told by AFR programmers that his show would begin airing on the overseas network starting Oct. 17.
Several Democrats have demanded an independent investigation into how the American Forces Radio and Television Service is run, noting that conservative commentators like Rush Limbaugh and Laura Schlessinger vastly outnumber liberal offerings for the servicemembers.

10. "Who" is the right question to keep asking, blm.
It's not enough to let them off the hook for illegally politicizing a taxpayer radio broadcast. The fact that they are now "permitting" a more representative voice to our troops reveals that SOMEONE IS NERVOUS BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY ACTED IMPROPERLY AND POSSIBLY ILLEGALLY.

Thanks for putting the question of "WHO" here, blm.

And here's a big hello to you, too: :hi:

3. Promises From This Government
don't mean shit.

According to the letter from SOD it clearly states that ultimately decision will be up to local programmers, who could easily say no.

8. Promises from the govt only mean something when the media is focused
on them. Ed is keeping the heat on the govt with this one.

This is the next step after that letter you mentioned. He's going to be carried on actual networks overseas (as was originally promised).

4. Big Eddie is Right: The DoD is afraid that
a GI caller will call in an tell listeners about what's really going on.

9. Go ED! Represent!
He may not adequately represent the views of most DUers, but he's square-in with middle America, the middle America that agrees with Democratic positions on all the important issues. Good for him, congratulations.
