(Wisc. Dem) Chair Invites Bush to Campaign in Wisconsin Next November

Chair Invites Bush to Campaign in Wisconsin Next November

MADISON – Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Joe Wineke today sent a letter to President George W. Bush inviting him to campaign in Wisconsin next November. Wineke extended the invitation in light of Republican losses around the country due to the plummeting support of the Bush Administration.

“I would like to extend an invitation for you to visit Wisconsin on behalf of Republicans the day before our general election on Tuesday, November 7, 2006,” Wineke offered in light of Bush’s visit to Virginia the day before the election in an unsuccessful effort to elect a Republican governor in a southern state that Bush won a year ago by 8 percentage points.

....

“George W. Bush couldn’t have two closer soul mates in Mark Green and Scott Walker,” Wineke said. “Scott Walker never met a cut to children’s programs he didn’t like, and Mark Green couldn’t balance a budget if you gave him the largest surplus in American history. Oh, wait, we did, and now we’ve got the largest deficit in American history.”

...otherwise, he probably would show up. That would be great.

I didn't see that before. :eyes:

I worry about the possibility of the Republicans bouncing back and Bush waving the invitation in a campaign stop to Osh Kosh or some town like that and the media being like "Oh the Republicans are so demonstrative. What a foolish calculation by the Wisconsin Democratic Chief at the time."

46. Did you read the actual letter linked to the article? I don't thinks it's
something Rove would let him wave around in the air. One could only hope he does so these points can continue to be hammered home. JMHO

Whether it is because of the record deficit amassed by you and your Republican allies in the Congress such as Wisconsin’s Mark Green … or the bungling of the war in Iraq … or the cloud of scandal that has settled over the top levels of your Administration, voters around the country are making Republicans pay the price.

snip>

Your rubber stamp ally Mark Green traveled with you to promise MILC would continue in the years to come, which so far is not the case. Some might call that a lie.

But I guess it will be up to the voters here in Wisconsin to reject Green and his say-one-thing-and-do-another Washington values.

20. Diebold will take care of everything
Republicans will NEVER, AND NOW MORE THAN EVER give the House or Senate away in 2006, you guys must stop dreaming, or you're in for a bigger disappointment than the one you experienced around 7pm last presidential election. IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Bush doesn't give a flying f*ck about plummeting poll numbers, he cares about keeping power, and Diebold will deliver. Game over.

38. Yeah, we need to win big
in the states where we can make the difference and where there are enough voting machines that have paper trails. That's a strategy issue for the party, for sure.

Now that we're onto the repubs game, it won't be so easy for them in 06. We need to make this vote fixing plot of theirs very, very visible to the public. They're already riled up about the war, social security, katrina, oil prices.

Don't say "game over" before you've played it. That's defeatism and more than a little whiny.

44. The central tabulators are made by all 3 companies however
I worked on Bev Harris' black box voting project after the election. I saw how they tried to steal it. It was in the final tallies reported that the "weirdness" was visible.

We do need to continue to press this issue! Still, this letter made me laugh!

Ridicule Monkeybrains, belittle Monkeybrains, trip him when he's staggering, sit on him when he's down, and find a pungent pile of puppy poo to rub in his face while you're at it! And if you can pull it off (as Mr. Wineke apparently did) so that it comes off as a relatively innocuous comment, so much the better!

the Ohio Democratic Party would extend the same invitation for Bush to campaign along side Senator Dewine! But you can just bet that "Delying" won't have the Moron anywhere near him from now until next November. Bet on it.
