Three Iraqi oil officials killed in Amman's attacks
http://www.kuna.net.kw/Home/Story.aspx?Language=en&DSNO=786221

BAGHDAD, Nov 11 (KUNA) -- Three Iraqi oil experts were killed in the bomb attacks against three five-star hotels in the Jordanian capital, Amman, two days ago, oil minister Ibrahim Bahr Al-Uloom said Friday.

Speaking to reporters in Najaf, Al-Uloom identified the experts as Habib Al-Shammari, Mohsen Al-Fadhl and Forat Abdussaheb.

The director of refineries in central Iraq Abdulqader Sa'b was seriously injured in the bomb attacks, he added.

Interesting. Makes one wonder if they were targeted.

1. Three Iraqi oil officials, some highly placed Palestinians
I wonder who else of note. These hotels were certainly "target rich" environments, to use the Pentagon's terminology.

2. They were 5 star hotels
The average Muslim on the street doesn't have the money to pay for a 500 dollar a night hotel.

4. It may be nothing more than that.
Jordan is also a major transit center for various corporations involved in the Iraq war, and the general middle east situation. The best hotels are bound to attract the movers and shakers, at least until now.

3. How many Iraqi oil experts are there in the Middle East on any given day?
Any chance they were a specific target, or perhaps a special bonus? I would be willing to bet there was an insider at each hotel with the guest list and the bombers chose a day for maximum impact. Or maybe not.

5. I think you are right.
Collaborators are very much hated.
