Endorsement would be a blow for Gephardt
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean would get the backing from the largest union in the AFL-CIO, should the Service Employees International Union decide to endorse next week, the union said.
The coveted endorsement could come November 6 when the union's executive board meets to consider whether to back the Democratic front-runner.
"It's Dean or no one," said union spokeswoman Sara Howard.
