Clark Blasts Bush Administration For Continuing Blame Game

Clark Blasts Bush Administration for Continuing Blame Game
http://clark04.com/press/release/054/
In a speech last night, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice implied that past presidents-Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton-had ignored evidence of growing terrorist threats.

In response to Rice's remarks, General Wesley Clark says:

"Once again, this administration is trying to blame others for what went wrong on their watch. This is yet another example of weak leadership.

"The White House was told that Al Qaeda was the biggest threat America faced. They ignored that threat and focused instead on missile defense and other skewed priorities. Even as they blame other administrations for 9/11, they are stonewalling the 9/11 Commission. Instead of blaming others, they should try to figure out what went on between January 20 and September 10, 2001.

"This White House consistently fails to take responsibility for what went wrong under its watch, while claiming credit for its supposed successes. Harry Truman used to say the buck stops here. This White House doesn't even know where the buck is. We need new leadership that will make the right choices to make our country secure."

2. Finally a Democrat with some real backbone. If these clowns would
stop harrassing Dean, Clark and Kuchinich and all the Democrats stand together to attack Bush the Democratic party make come back from the dead.

5. Also, we need important facts to get out
like how W put a hiring freeze on the FBI one month after he took office. No agents were hired until after 9/11.

6. Clark is definately back on my radar screen
Say it loud and say it proud!

I just have one quibble with the wording of the press release. Everyone knows that Rice is a Reagan idolizer. She was speaking about one person and one person only-Bill Clinton.

8. You know it...
But she named Ronnie and Georgie so as not to appear partisan. Condi's sold her soul but she's still shrewd as hell.

16. I`d almost bet money that Rove coached Condi on this. Rove strikes me
as shrewd. Condi is almost as clumsy with her foot in mouth sickness. As her court appointed boss. Rove wants this crap repeated a thousand times for the sheeple. And that is exactly what the treasonous traitorous wretch is doing.
Peace

20. Yup -- Bu$h* will blame his own FATHER to avoid taking any responsibility
himself. And he sends Condi out because he's too big a pansy to do it himself.

He's a vacuous wimp in a flight suit with a sock in his pants where his balls should be.

13. excellent!
Clark's rapid-fire responses reminds me of Clinton's War Room in 1992. I'm glad he's holding this corrupt administration's feet to the fire.

19. Bush blame
This silver spooner has absolutely no character. You can tell that he was spoiled as a child and never had to own up to any mistakes. A man with no class or character should NOT be running this country. I get sick when I think what has happened in the US.

Wes Clark is a man thats worked his way up and served with honor. To put Clark in a race with bush shouldnt even be a contest. Clark is a man. Bush is a whiny ,spineless, scoundrel that blames other for his mistakes. Low man, low.

21. Clark is telling the middle of the country that Bush is blaming Reagan!
Nothing will piss them off more than Bush blaming Reagan for his own fuck ups.

Reagan is their hero, make sure they know Bush is trying to pass the blame to him.

24. I agree. Clark keeps up the daily pressure.
Each day he seems to be out there with another timely left jab to Bush's right flanks. Some of the other candidates seem so caught up in their campaign or defending themselves that they don't even seem to be keeping up with the news.

26. Anyone that bashes Bush gets kudos from me
even if I don't vote for the candidate in the primaries.

I wish Kerry would take a cue from Clark and spent more time attacking Bush than attacking Dean. No wonder Clark's numbers are rising while Kerry's are dropping.
