US wraps up Iraq border assault

US forces have concluded a major counter-insurgency operation near the Syrian border, the US military said.

It said 139 insurgents and 10 US marines had died in the 17-day assault targeting al-Qaeda-linked militants.

Operation Steel Curtain marked the first major deployment of the Iraqi army in the restive western province of Anbar, the US military said.

1. These things should stop immediatly.

I don't doubt that after they killed these "insurgents" that twice that number were inspired to take up arms against the invaders.

It was more like 130 civilians and 9 bad dudes.

4. Oh goody!

I feel so sorry for the Iraqis caught in the middle of this mindless violence and I feel sorry for the grunts and the commanders who have to try to accomplish the impossible tasks handed to them by the chicken hawks.
I really really really really want to see this administration in a world court one day. I don't want them questioned by fancy lawyers either. I want them to answer to the survivors of their carnage and their torture. I want them to have to listen to what every mourning parent, brother, sister and loved one has to say be they Arab and or American. I don't care how many years it takes.
