Valerie Plame Said to Leave Job at CIA
By PETE YOST, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - Valerie Plame, the CIA officer whose exposure led to a criminal investigation of the Bush White House, spent her last day at the spy agency Friday.

Neither the agency nor Plame's husband would confirm her departure, but two people who have known Plame for a number of years confirmed she was leaving.

Married to Bush administration critic and former U.S. Ambassador Joseph Wilson, Plame was working at agency headquarters in Langley, Va., in 2003 when her CIA status was disclosed by conservative columnist Robert Novak. That triggered a probe that led to the recent indictment of Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby.

Plame had served for many years at overseas postings for the CIA, and her employment remained classified when she took a headquarters desk job, traveling overseas periodically.

2. Old news but I like this take on it
From The Reliable Source- Washington Post

We wonder what it's like on one's last day at the CIA. Maybe a little something like this?

TO: Personnel, Langley HQ

FROM: Director

DATE: 12/09/05

RE: Plame farewell

Although the circumstances of her departure have been unfortunate for many of us, I hope you'll join me at 4:30 p.m. today to send off Valerie Plame. We'll have coffee and yellowcake in the conference room. Some of you still haven't pitched in for the going-away gift -- please see Debbie about that. And to the person(s) who let it slip that we got her the iPod nano, thanks a lot. Can't you guys keep a secret?

9. They haven't gotten away with it yet.
Keep hope alive. If the system doesn't work there is always the "alternative".

8. That's because bush/cheney
don't have the best interests of the USA as their concern..unfortunately, Valerie Plame is not the only one they Screwed over to get what they want.

She may be the only undercover CIA agent, though..except for the company "Brewster Jennings"..

"Brewster Jennings
CIA counter-proliferation network prevented a WMD "salting" operation by Bush White House in Iraq.

In fact, U.S. intelligence sources report that the first shipment of VX nerve gas to Saddam Hussein was carried out between 1988 and 1989. The gas was shipped to Iraq by a U.S. company that was established in 1987 -- The Carlyle Group.
And sure enough, if we hearken back to one month later, we find an interesting bit of corroborative intel had been floated by the White House at the time -- and subsequently entirely debunked of course. And then, of course there's the testimony of Department of Defense whistleblower Nelda Rogers:

A Defense whistleblower ... has revealed that a US covert operations team had planted "Weapons of Mass Destruction" (WMDs) in Iraq - then "lost" them when the team was killed by so-called "friendly fire." The Pentagon whistleblower, Nelda Rogers, is a 28-year veteran debriefer for the Defense Department. She has become so concerned for her safety that she decided to tell the story about this latest CIA-military fiasco in Iraq."

10. I hope you're right, understandinglife...
because I don't understand it one bit. Seeing Mrs. Plame-Wilson leave her job after all she did for each and everyone of us, namely her own & our country makes me literally want to just

A travesty. Like you said, they show no signs of remorse. Sad. Really, truly a sad day in the US of A.

She could be anyone of us, no matter what side of the "aisle" we lean toward.

My heart goes out to the Wilsons.

11. From the Post Article...
They're finally saying something about this, now that she's gone and outed.

"Plame had served for many years at overseas postings for the CIA, and her employment remained classified when she took a headquarters desk job, traveling overseas periodically.

She was an employee in the CIA's Counterproliferation Division.

"Her career was arbitrarily and whimsically destroyed by a mean political trick," said Vincent Cannistraro, a former chief of operations for the CIA's Counterterrorism Center.

Sorry, but I think this was way more then just a "mean political trick!" It was all about OIL, $$$$. Global domination, power, greed. At least that's what I think.

13. From the title, I thought the person you referred to was...
Sibel Edmunds. Funny she was first to pop into my head.

How many upstanding Citizens, nay, Patriots! must gain admittance to this most exclusive class before the true criminals are detained and prosecuted? The abuse these victims have endured Valerie, Sibel and others, under this black hole, this, malignant festering boil squarely centered on the forehead of Uncle Sam of a cabinet, who's corruption runs apparently genetic, perhaps inherited from BEELZEBUB, far exceeds exploits perpetrated by any prior administration.

Betrayal is possibly the mildest emotion that I feel over things like this.
