From: Emery, Edie
Sent: Friday, December 16, 2005 11:09 AM
Subject: CNN statement regarding Mr. Novak

"After 25 years of serving as a CNN commentator and program host, our colleague Bob Novak's tenure on the network will come to a close (effective 12/31). Through the years, Bob has offered incisive analysis for much of CNN's programming, including Crossfire, The Capital Gang, Inside Politics, Evans and Novak, The Novak Zone, and Novak, Hunt and Shields. Bob has also been a valued contributor to CNN's political coverage. We appreciate his many contributions and wish him well in future endeavors," said Jon Klein, president of CNN/U.S.

A few years ago an evil, foul and cruel boss I worked for who was sued for everything under the sun died alone. She left this world with nothing for the anguish she created.

So will he.

soured on the whole Bush gang." The Spanish have a saying that says, "no duele hasta que te pisen el cayo" ... roughly translated, it means, "nothing hurts until they step on your very own last nerve"...somebody at the WH may have stepped on the great Prince of Mean.

do you mean, as in a lovers' quarrell? or just propaganda buddies?

if the prince of mean knows that bush knows ... do you think bush was present when the prince of mean was told? i mean, could bush have been the one he is protecting and now he is outing him by saying only that bush knows?

if that is the case ..... he had better take care of his derrier, or he might be the next suicide with a shot to the back of the head we hear about.

58. I mean, a lovers' quarrel.
And I mean, propaganda buddies.

To Pigface Karl, love and horniness and passion and devotion and that walking-on-air feeling are all a part of the process of doing his propaganda thing.

Yes, it's a new, previously undiscovered, sexuality!

And Karl has it!

Interesting point about Junior possibly having been right there when Colostomy Bag Novak was told... could be... Junior is said to play under Karl's desk sometimes, and he might've been crawling around under there that day, and have inadvertently heard something. Little pitchers have big ears.

who would've thought it of the ole prince of mean? there was a picture of him looking very mean posted here yesterday, i think he was in a basketball game. he looked like he was ready to beat up someone, but more than that, he looked like he was scorned. (if i find the picture, i'll post it here).
edited to add picture-

here is the picture. there is a certain roughness in his face, but a certain sadness in his eyes.
when i saw the picture i thought he might have been grieving about the fact that he was no longer sitting at CNN doing Crossfire, Capital Gang, etc., etc., etc., now ... it seems he may be grieving about some very personal hurt, and despite the fact that the man is a colostomy bag ... well, i can't help but feel very sorry for him.

Robert Novak Leaving CNN for Fox News

Commentator Robert Novak, who hasn't been seen on CNN since swearing and storming off the set in August, will leave the network after 25 years and join Fox News Channel as a contributor next month.

Novak, 74, said Friday he probably would have left CNN anyway when his contract expired this month even if it hadn't been for the incident.

The suspension actually served to eliminate a delicate problem for CNN, which had received some criticism for keeping the political columnist on the air with his involvement in the CIA leak case.

41. Robert Novak Leaving CNN for Fox News (Who'da thunk?)
NEW YORK - Commentator Robert Novak, who hasn't been seen on CNN since swearing and storming off the set in August, will leave the network after 25 years and join Fox News Channel as a contributor next month.

...

He said he wanted to stay in TV, but do more limited work. Fox News Channel spokesman Brian Lewis confirmed his signing with that network.

Novak said the switch to Fox had nothing to do with finding a more comfortable home for his views.

"I don't think that's a factor," he said. "In 25 years I was never censored by CNN and I said some fairly outrageous things and some very conservative things. I don't want to give the impression that they were muzzling me and I had to go to a place that wouldn't muzzle me."

51. new theory re: Novak's claim Bush knows who leaker is
http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2005/12/15/publiceye/entry1129478.shtml

December 15, 2005

Open Mouth, Insert …?

The leak columnist Bob Novak revealed in his infamous Valerie Plame column may have been one of the last he can expect out of the Bush administration after curious comments he made recently to a John Locke Foundation luncheon in Raleigh, North Carolina. Throughout the entire investigation into who leaked Plame’s name we’ve endured a parade of journalists who’ve leapt from ring to ring to ring of this circus. After countless battles with the special prosecutor, testimony before grand juries, jailhouse drama, public purges and newsroom explosions, I thought this tale couldn’t get stranger. <snip>

... And of course, conspiratorial minds united. My favorite was this idea that White House guru Karl Rove got Novak to make his comments in an attempt to garner a public show of support since Rove remains under the gaze of the prosecutor.

68. I have a different theory entirely--when you hear hoofbeats, think HORSES
...not ZEBRAS. Why is no one asking the fairly simple question???? If BUSH KNOWS, fer sure, who the leaker is...maybe the leaker is BUSH????????

When you go back to all the parsing statements and bullshit that have come out of the White House, it could well be that Novak got that info on background from CokeJaw himself! That doesn't mean that Bush didn't tell Rover, et. al., to spread it around as well...but maybe the Monkey let slip the name, too. Why couldn't an old hand and administration friend like Novak have TWO White House sources--Rove, and SOMEONE ELSE????? Good reporters get TWO, after all....

And who knows, after Novak left the CNN set, he KNEW he was done. But hey, he has bills to pay. He fires this shot across the bow about Bush knowing who the leaker is, and next thing ya know, he gets a "job" at Faux, like Monica was gonna get a job at Revlon...

Keep yer mouth shut, Bob, and we'll make sure you have enough to make the mortgage payment and go watch the Wizards play!

Quid pro quo????

73.  Robert Novak leaving CNN (Going to FAUX)
