FCC orders anti-piracy tech for TVs
Consumers would be blocked from uploading content to Net

The government on Tuesday approved an anti-piracy mechanism to make it harder for computer users to illegally distribute digital TV programs on the Internet. In its order, the Federal Communications Commission told makers of digital television receivers that by July 1, 2005, their models must recognize an electronic marker that broadcasters can embed in their programs to limit piracy.

2. This is all too much. Someone will find a way around this crap
My idea for now if this all comes to pass:

Affordable High Definition camcorders will be available for consumers over the next couple of years. High definition projectors are availble now. All you will need to do is project the image and shoot it with your HD camcorder. The quality will still be very acceptable.
