Dems rally to 'recall Bush'

Tarak Shah, president of the Illinois Federation of College Democrats, said the purpose of the rally was to get students informed about Democratic presidential and senate candidates and the choices they'll have to make next year.

The rally was a statewide event sponsored by the College Democrats along with the Illinois Federation of College Democrats. Shah said Illinois State University and Loyola University held their own Recall Bush rallies. The Nov. 3rd date was chosen for the rally to coincide with next year's election.

"A year from today we will have Bush out of office," said Jessica Wilson, a sophomore in LAS and member of College Democrats.
