1. Is there more?
Was there any detail on what the district did? This is all I could find in the article:

Mona Dobrich said the district gave Christian clubs special treatment and created "an environment of religious exclusion" through prayers at public meetings and events.

The second half I understand (and roll my eyes at), but what was the special treatment?

3. The site is having trouble
with Internet Explorer but here goes"

2 families filed the lawsuit, one family is Jewish.

The Indian River school board will vote on Monday to accept the agreement

One member is oppossed.

The public will not be able to make comments until a meeting on 1/24
the school board attorney was hired by The Rutherford Institute, a conservative civil right group who want to take it to trial to sent a legal precedent.

The families are represented by the ACLU.

Stay tuned.

Unless the school out-and-out discriminated against children who refused to take part, or refused to grant a charter for a Jewish club or a club for a religion other than Christian.

In any case, I'd rather see the pricipal, board, superintendent and whomever else was part of the decision-making sued directly as individuals.

On edit after reading the links above: man those are some nasty people, maybe they do deserve to have the district pay through the nose! OTOH, according to the 4th story, the board did adopt new policies in response to the initial complaint, so I'm not sure why a suit was necessary.
