snip> BAGHDAD, Iraq (Reuters) - Two priceless pieces of Iraq (news - web sites)'s ancient heritage, looted from Baghdad's main museum in the chaotic days after Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s fall, have been recovered from a Baghdad cesspool, U.S. officials said Thursday.

snip>The Bassetki statue is considered the most important of Iraq's ancient artworks after the so-called Warka Mask of a Sumerian goddess, recovered earlier this year.

"I would describe this as a spectacular find and we're extremely pleased," John Russell, an art expert who is helping to restore recovered artifacts, told Reuters.

let's hope that more of these wonderful, historical treasures are found, for history's sake.

1. Bush* is such a screw-up he couldn't even loot the museum correctly
He was supposed to see that all the good antiquities and artwork got stolen and delivered to his thuggy neo-con masters - but he couldn't even do that right. Seriously, has a done a damn thing right - even by Neo-con standards?

2. I cannot think of even one instance in where I could even faintly think
of praise for this ignorant, evil human being.
