Questions not laid to rest ..........
Edited on Thu Jul-17-03 10:06 PM by DeathvadeR
If Tony Blair regretted the timing of his appearance before Congress, he showed no sign of it as he give a typically polished performance, displaying his signature belief in his own ability to persuade others and bring differing sides together.

Blair gave a polished performance in front of Congress
The unusual invitation to speak to a Joint Session of Congress came soon after the war ended, when it looked set to be a victory lap of the US capital.

But by the time the big day came round, both Washington and London found themselves mired in a row over misleading intelligence in the build-up to war as well as an increasingly complicated and costly occupation of Iraq.

I mean, don't get me wrong, It was a beautiful speech, but Evidence of the facts would prove other wise? And would'nt at least some of those Democrats in the audience..... Every single one of them clappin like they were at Shania Twain concert....... be asking themselves "What in the Fuq is going on??????? "

This whole speech smells really fishy???.... Bush-taking this "I'm responsable for everything" attitude and Blair agreeing with what the US is discrediting????

2. What Toney and his Emperor were trying to tell everyone
at their joint "news conference" was basically - we know what we know and you just have to take our word for it. "If we say the moon is cheese, go lookin' for some Ritz crackers, boys, cause you got no recourse but to trust us."

In this country, with the Imperial Republicans committing treason to cover and support the illegal Emperor, they just might be right. Octavian, Napoleon I, Napoleon III - I can't think right off hand any Imperial coup that wasn't successful. This is going to wind-up getting a whole lot bloodier than it has so far.
