Deaths in Iraq today
(Mods, sorry I'm not complying with the "title of the post should be the title of the article" rule. I'm posting multiple articles, on different incidents bound by the same topic -- soldier deaths today in Iraq -- in a single post.)

British soldier dies in crash

Polish soldier dies in Iraq

Mine Explosion Kills Soldier
(TWO AMERICANS DEAD TODAY)

(Has anybody else noticed that stories about deaths in Iraq have been getting substantially less coverage since the Chinook incident? There were deaths every day this week, and not even a front-page link on CNN, for example. Also, those explosions in Baghdad, and the weird non-commital reports on injuries.)

1. Yes, it's getting to be tired news, isn't it.
The public has had enough and doesn't want to hear about it anymore. Anyway, the conservatives have decided that it's worth it, so they don't care (there's more traffic deaths, they say). Many US citizens are a sorry lot - damn near psychopaths. They cry big crocodile tears if a US soldier is wounded or even insulted, but don't bat an eyelash if 15,000 Iraqis civilians are killed. Ho hum. Back to sports!

4. This was the first Polish death by hostile fire since WWII.
Thanks, Dubya. Another first for your junta.

6. Good satire!
Too true, though. Why aren't more people outraged? Or at least sad. Everytime I see Bush he is happy and smiling. Wow. Dead bodies do not phase a psycho.

7. What the hell is happening in Baghdad?!?
Have you noticed there has been almost zero coverage of Baghdad since the the US's Palace compound was bombed last on Tuesday Night? So if they don't report any deaths or injuries they did not happen? Is that pentagon blackout still in effect?
