Schwarzenegger Was Advised to Allow Probe
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Filed at 3:43 p.m. ET

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- California's attorney general said Thursday that he warned Arnold Schwarzenegger that the groping allegations against him are ``not going to go away'' and that the governor-elect should cooperate with an investigation.

Bill Lockyer said he spoke with Schwarzenegger as recently as Wednesday about the allegations leveled against the action star during the closing days the campaign.

The allegations will not go away ``until he is willing to have some form of independent, third-party review of those complaints to see if there's any criminal liability or not,'' Lockyer said.

The attorney general said he had no plans to open an investigation of his own because that is generally the jurisdiction of local district attorneys.

1. Sorry, Arnie
this is not going away, no matter how much you try and ignore the issue. The media will have a field day with this story once it gets started.

2. heeeyyyy
Happy Birthday, Maria (she's 48 today)! Here's your present: Your nasty, brutish husband is under investigation! Woo hoo!

Today on the CNN scroll at the bottom, as Maria's birthday was noted, she was referred to as "California's future First Lady," instead of "news correspondent," or whatever. She's lost her identity already.

7. And isn't that "California's First Lady" business ODD?
I have NEVER heard of a governor's wife being addressed as a "first lady" before Arnold was "elected" governor.

John Ashcroft was the governor of Missouri. People would have fainted if anyone referred to Mrs. Ashcroft as "the first lady." Horrors!

Republican idea, no doubt. They must hunger and thirst for more and more recognition and praise here on earth, even though their bibles they wave discourage it.

3. Then why the F*** did he vote for him?
Sorry, but somebody needs to smack Lockyer upside the head for sheer idiocy.
