Radio stations lose syndicated shows; FCC ruling blocks sale ...
ClearChannel loses in Maine!!!

SKOWHEGAN -- Howie Carr, Mike Violette, Eric Leimbach and Tony Kornheiser will be more difficult to find on the radio dial this month following a ruling by the Federal Communications Commission that said radio giant Clear Channel Communications was getting too big in Maine.

Clear Channel, the nation's largest operator of radio stations with 1,200 broadcast facilities from coast to coast, has been forced to give up its interests in three local stations, reverting operations and ownership back to Mountain Wireless Corp., company officials said this past week.

Clear Channel still has 18 radio stations in Maine.

This is great news! These stations are almost all I can receive. I know it's not a big deal but it's a start!

3. Randi Rhodes
Randi Rhodes is offering her show for syndication. She is a fantastic liberal radio host. She has a web site: www.therandirhodesshow.com that has a link to send to local radio stations. Try and get her show.

"argument." I LOVE her. I found out about her here about 3 weeks ago and listen everyday.

9. They buy up all the channels and only put on Rush and the RWingers
That's what's wrong with monopolies and that is what is happening to all information in this country.
