Feds gave Donald (Trump) a quick bundle (Small Business 9/11 Funds)
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/386752p-328051c.html

Donald Trump, the Rockefeller Group and Ford Models were among the tycoons and huge corporations that received federal 9/11 recovery grants earmarked by Congress for small businesses, a Daily News investigation has found.

Other unlikely recipients include subsidiaries of corporate giants Dell Inc., Morgan Stanley, The AXA Group and the Bank of China, records show.

Even World Trade Center leaseholder Larry Silverstein's company qualified for some small-business recovery aid.

The firms were allowed to collect small-business grants because the state agency that dished out the free money, the Empire State Development Corp., ignored the federal definition of a small business and adopted a much looser standard.

1. I thought Donald Trump was a billionaire.

Why does he need small business assistance? Even if somehow, there is some loophole that qualifies him for a small business grant, it seems to me the spirit of small business assistance means people that do not go around advertising their opulent lifestyles on reality tv shows and suing someone that claims they're not really billionaires.

This is what makes me crazy when I hear people piss and moan about welfare for the genuinely poor in this country. I read a letter to the editor today from some kook who resents his tax dollars being spent on taking care of poor children born out of wedlock. He thinks any woman who has more than one child out of wedlock should be spayed like animals. That was his choice of words. Asshole!

Editted to add: Mr. Trump should be publicly shamed for this.

2. Trump just knows how to use leverage.
Spending other people's money, losing it, and making contacts to get more of it.

He's the perfect Republican.

3. The rich get richer and the poor get...
screwed? Jesus? nothing? It's unreal the way these rich bastards look out for each other while AT THE SAME TIME making budget cuts that hurt poor people, making it harder to file for bankruptcy, etc. You know, stuff that only hurts the average person like you and me. Nice to see BushCo and their pals exploiting 9/11 for financial gain AGAIN!:(

4. Why don't they just do away with the federal government and we
send our tax dollars directly to the corporations? Let them run the government, they are doing it anyway. This way we cut out the middle man. :sarcasm:
