Taliban vow death to cab-drivers carrying foreigners
Afghanistan's former Taliban rulers are threatening to kill taxi-drivers and other Afghans if they work with foreigners, according to a pamphlet received yesterday.

The pamphlet, typed in Pashto-language and signed by a man calling himself the Taliban's "cultural and information officer" for eastern Afghanistan's Laghman province, was sent to Pakistani newspapers in northwest city Peshawar this week.

It says taxi-drivers must "avoid picking up and dropping foreigners, otherwise the foreigners would be killed and their luggage set on fire."

"If the driver and the owner of the taxi were killed, the Taliban would not be responsible," the pamphlet stated.

What's all this I keep hearing about this "Taliban"?

"It says taxi-drivers must "avoid picking up and dropping foreigners, otherwise the foreigners would be killed and their luggage set on fire.""

I really wish they would find a better way to dispose of the foreigners luggage. Setting it on fire is not an environmentally friendly disposal method.

""If the driver and the owner of the taxi were killed, the Taliban would not be responsible," the pamphlet stated."

Who the hell do they think they are? Only Capital G. BULLshyt can kill people and not be responsible.

2. The report that I would truly love to see is the one
detailing the progress of the Unocal/Karzai/Bushco pipeline. I'll bet that it is being built as we speak, but we won't hear about it.

I'm sure this is some sort of misunderstanding.
