Saddam's bodyguard arrested
Edited on Sat Nov-08-03 09:31 AM by dArKeR
Tikrit, Iraq - The US army has arrested a bodyguard of fallen dictator Saddam Hussein in the northern oil city of Kirkuk, a military spokeswoman said on Saturday.

Major Josslyn Aberle of the 4th Infantry Division said the bodyguard, arrested late on Thursday, was involved in "anti-coalition activities" but did not provide his name.

How many times have we heard this?

And I wouldn't believe it anyway. If a bodyguard was arrested Rumsfeld wouldn't tell anyone because then Saddam would know and thus wouldn't go to any locations which that bodyguard knew of. VISA VERSA if it was kept quiet Saddam wouldn't know that his bodyguard gave away his secret hideouts and would go there where the US 'Special Unit', we read about yesterday, is waiting for him.

1. If he was just a bodyguard...
why the big brew-ha-ha? I know they say he was involved in "anti-coalition" activities.. but it would seem to me if he was one of Saddam's bodyguards, shouldn't he have been... oh.. I don't know... guarding Saddam?

2. one of the biggest myths right now is....
that if we "get" saddam the Iraqi's will suddenly love us and the attacks will stop. Right up there with saying our soldiers are "dying for our freedom"...

4. As if this were important enough to be "news"
Not a swipe at the poster.....just seems idiotic that the newspapers would think this was newsworthy.

WTF good will this do? Arrest one fricking bodyguard? Oh, the war is over now.

6. Saddam's bodyguard arrested
I think Saddam has enough loyalists still alive and kicking that he wouldn't have to rely on Rumsfeld for information. I think Saddam is changing locations at least once a day and he's probably running pretty scared right now. I think the first thing he does when one of his bodyguards is arrested is move.

On the other hand, what if Saddam were dead right now. Would his loyalists want the world to know that America was successful in offing him? I don't think so. It would be to their benifeit to keep the saga going to make America look weak. We simply may never find him if he is buried in six feet of sand under a freshly built house.

8. I feel it really does not matter if he is ever found, dead or alive...
except perhaps to the freeper bushbots. the Iraqis that are attacking our troops are comprised of many different types. Sure there are "saddam loyalists" but these attacks are happening all over Iraq. What this invasion has managed to do is unite all sorts of people (Sunni, soon the Shi, foriegn muslims, people who have lost loved ones)against the American aggression into their land.

9. How many bodyguards does Saddam have
I think Saddam has quite a few bodyguards. The number does seem to be dropping though.
