Pelosi optimistic about party's chances to retake House

CAPITOL HILL House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi believes Democrats can retake control of the House in the November elections.

With Republicans nervous about the fallout from the Jack Abramoff (AY'-bruh-mahf) scandal, Pelosi says she believes Democrats can win the 15 seats needed to bounce the G-O-P from power.

Pelosi told reporters earlier this week she's aiming to win 30 of the roughly 40 or 45 House seats that are considered in play.

Ironically, the man House Republicans chose as their new majority leader two days ago was a key player when Republicans took power in 1994.

Just in the last couple days the big money ppl started getting behind Katherine "see my new tits" Harris. IMHO this tells me that they are worried big time about the Senate too...

and if he can't, we're ALL screwed. I wonder if Florida has removed any of its Diebold machines, yet, and cleaned up its ChoicePoint voter slaughtering?

-Gov: 25-30

Our committee chairs can tie up the White House with 2 years of hearings, investigations and subpoenas. There is a big backlog of uninvestigated scandals that has built up for 6 years.

No legislation from the Bush White House will be considered. It will all go in the trash can.

Redistricting (where else has it been done besides TX? anyone? I read they're trying to do it in GA...where else?) will be the Dems downfall. She was all doom and gloom. Hard to believe she was once the rising star of NPR.
