Texas military families gather to oppose the war in Iraq
http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/apwire/story.cfm?xla=apwire&xlb=l&xlc=1081590

AP file Sun. 2:15 pm

"A number of Texas families with husbands, sons, and other relatives serving in Iraq gathered in a drizzle Saturday morning in this military-dependent city (San Antonio) to voice opposition to how the US-led war is being handled."

No doubt in front of the Alamo, but many details are left out for some reason.

p.s. I found this while looking for further details of a story shown on KENS tonight about a Ft. Sam Houston soldier who was arrested with his wife and 2 young children by SA police while walking down a busy street completely nude. The children were placed with child protective services. They were "walking to the Lord," I believe. Not available on the AP or Express News, but maybe on the KENS site. Please someone with information let us know.

4. The Ft. Sam soldier story "walking to the Lord" sounds interesting
This link didn't provide the fact that the man was a soldier, but if you heard it on the News version then he must have been identified by the time of the broadcast. These soldiers are obviously under a lot of stress.

5. Mooning Bush? Does this qualify?
The Europeans know how to moon Bush, and have held massive demonstrations to prove it, and I believe Australia has held at least one mass nude-peace rally. Now, it appears that these Texans, in their own peculiar, boastful way, may have upped the antie.

I remember during the Reagan administration, when it was popular to say "The Emperor has no clothes."

Tiltilating? Yes, perhaps even cute, but rather lame when juxtiposed with what may be the Lone Star State's radical new concept: "The Emperor's subjects having no clothes."

Prudish demonstrators may hesitate to get behind this movement, while others might spectulate that some benefits may result, and that all the nudity may encourage corpulant dissidents to lose some weight. This Texas concept could become a fad, but I kind of hope not.
