UAE to tap space tourism
Ras Al Khaimah: The only company to have sent tourists into space has announced plans to develop a commercial spaceport in Ras Al Khaimah, from where it will operate suborbital flights.

His Highness Shaikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and the emirate's Department of Civil Aviation have granted clearance to Space Adventures Ltd to operate suborbital flights from the emirate. 2. This coming the same day it's announced that the UAE has bought out
a significant chunk of dock operations in America's largest ports?

Is this where all the BFEE money is going to, or coming from?

4. The money is coming from the private company
as such, there would be no transfer of technology to the Government.

The company sees the MEGA tourism industry that is being built here and wants a piece. Also, they need to have good weather and southern latitudes for their base. The UAE is a perfect fit.

The better the launch site.

Also, as I understand it, the UAE has some some very nice weather year round.

Space tourism, as it becomes more regular, will probably become a major business in the near future generating a great deal of capitol for investors and opening up space to privatization.
