San Francisco Sentinel: Supervisors committee recommends Bush impeachment
San Francisco Sentinel
Supervisors committee recommends Bush impeachment
February 16, 2006

http://www.sanfranciscosentinel.com/news_in_brief/impeachment_resolution_060216.shtml

A committee of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors today recommended full board approval of a resolution calling for President Bush to be impeached.

Chair Mirkarimi indicated dismay Bush had not been already impeached.

"I absolutely agree that President Bush and Vice President Cheney...have acted with impunity in that there has been...absolutely incredible, immense amount of evidence as to why there should have been impeachment hearings and I would think by now having the resulting action of having President Bush impeached," agreed Rules Committee chair Ross Mirkarimi.

11. We do not need to disolve the Union.
The states have the ability to forward articles of impeachment to congress. If enough states made this a priority we could get some action. A senate canidate from Rhode Island made an appeal for such legislation on Wednesday. If all the blue state were to forward these sorts of Bills the national media would have to take notice. I think it is our only hope. If we continue to wait for the November elections we will be screwed. Bush feels the heat and wants to finish pushing through his agenda while his party still controls congress. He can feel the backlash coming. So what we have to do is start bugging our state reps for articles of impeachment.

8. I don't care what SF Supes think about global politics
Work on the homeless problem, get MUNI to run on time, and finish on the mayor's proposal to provide universal healthcare to all SF residents.

Stop wasting city government time trying to impeach the president. The schools around here are not great, but good enough so that even I know having the city supes want impeachment is a pointless gesture.

Bah.

9. I agree that's why I posted that.
When I lived in SF there were so many dumbass non-binding votes or ballots props it amazed me.

Wow San Francisco supports impeaching Bush! What a fucking suprise.

10. Every time there's a news story about someone calling for impeachment
it gives readers a chance to think about it again. I don't think that's a bad thing.
