Baghdad market blast kills seven
Seven people have been killed in an explosion near a market in a southern district of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, officials say.

It is thought the blast may have been caused by a car bomb, an interior ministry official told the AFP agency.

At least eight people were wounded in the explosion, the officials said.

The blast, in the Zafaraniya district of the Iraqi capital, came a day after a traffic ban - brought in to guard against car bombs - was lifted.
