ABC's Bob Woodruff Starting To Walk, Talk
Five weeks after ABC anchorman Bob Woodruff was seriously injured in an Iraq explosion, he remains hospitalized but is able to say a few words and is starting to walk, his brother said Tuesday.

"In the last couple of days, he's taken a lot of great leaps forward," David Woodruff said. "He's definitely doing so much better."

Bob Woodruff and ABC cameraman Doug Vogt were standing in the hatch of an Iraqi mechanized vehicle, reporting on the war from the Iraqi troops' perspective, when the roadside bomb exploded Jan. 29. Both were wearing body armor, which doctors say likely saved their lives.

Woodruff, 44, is still on heavy pain medication as his body recovers from the serious head injuries and other wounds. But he recognizes people, he can tell his daughter he loves her, and the multilingual journalist has even said a few words in Chinese and German, his brother David Woodruff told ABC's "Good Morning America."

1. and maybe after his experience
he will start to expose the 15000 plus Americans who experienced similar or worse episodes, as the casulties they never talk about with this illegal war based on a LIE

2. I'm Glad He's Doing Better and I hope they make this into a
huge story on the soldiers that have suffered just like him.

3. Talking great!!!
The injuries were probably a lot worse than they were actually reporting at first..., another causuality from the Bush administration.

4. Good news!
I'm sure he has a long road ahead, but this sounds good. It sounds like he's making progress.

5. I am so glad for him and his family. If he even remembers his
multi-languages, it is probable that he doesn't have serious brain damage.
