Sunni Imam killed in car bomb attack outside mosque in Samarra

BAGHDAD, March 10 (KUNA) -- The Imam of a Sunni mosque in central Samarra, 150 km north of Baghdad, was killed on Friday in a car bomb attack nearby a mosque.

--

The source added that an explosive device was detonated targeting an Iraqi Police patrol in Samarra, killing two civilians and wounding others.

In another incident, unknown gunmen on Friday assassinated Iraqi Army Colonel Sabah Ismael and burned his car in southern Kirkuk.

Also, a group of unknown gunmen abducted Director of Huwaijah Youth Center Saheb Saleh.
