R.I.P. Tony Thompson genius rock drummer "Chic" & Powerstation Bowie

He jammed with Zeppelin. Yeah he was the man in the steam room when it counted....on all those early disco hits. Freak out. Good TImes..... That was an original thing. He played with Bowie....and Powerstation when they were the thing. He did all sorts of studio work. What a unique talented guy that could not be categorized. Loved by many.. A good guy. He was fighting the big C is what i heard. He wasnt even 50.

in los angeles 13 years ago with my friend Danny Carey--he wished Danny good luck with his drumming career...which took off like a rocket to say the least...

I read on another message board that he did not even have health insurance to cover the costs of the treatment . I enjoyed the songs he played on . Another great artist has passed ...
