Agent's husband to address CIA leak, war

Ambassador Joseph Wilson, who last year investigated allegations that Iraq bought uranium from Niger and whose wife was revealed as a CIA operative earlier this year, will speak tonight at 8 in the Grand Ballroom at the Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus.

Wilson said in a phone interview this week that he expects to speak about the "three great debates" surrounding the invasion and rebuilding of Iraq: How we got in, how we get out, and the controversy of who may be responsible for leaking his wife's name as an undercover CIA operative.

<snip>
Wilson says that since then, for some reason, the investigation into who distributed this information has "completely disappeared from view" and believes that somebody is going to get away with outing an American national security asset.

"They wanted to discourage others from coming forward," Wilson said. "It was more important than the national security of our country. Why they would do that, and why they would continue to get away with it, is just beyond me."

1. Call, write, send emails
To all major news organizations. Why have they let this story fall from the face of the earth?

2. Time limit on fake AG investigation.
I know there is an on going investigation into the TWO administration officials who are guilty of treason. Although Asscraft is micro-managing it, I think the career investigators will find a way to expose the truth.
What is a reasonable time frame?

10. That's the way I felt...
Seemed the Wilson/Plame/Rove affair dropped off the face of the earth...no news, no follow-ups, no coverage going on. So, I went looking for any new stories, and this was the latest one news item, with exceptions of editorials...and editorials rarely get noticed, much less followed up on to learn and get more recent news. Seems the American Media Whores are still kowtowing and being obsequient to the BushCo Regime by not following what's been going on, what progress has been made. And NO ONE is screaming, "Make Ashcroft Recuse Himself!" Moveon.org had a petition to try to help that happen, but I haven't even gotten any updates from them lately regarding Ashcroft/Wilson/Plame/leakers.

Here are a few of the Ed/Ops out there (none from the US media whores, of course):

6. Mark it down for campaign 2004!
That's "1"

Here's "2"
Bush and Rush won't take responsibility for their own actions and behavior. They blame it on the media and not reporting positive things.

7. The repubs demand....
a special prosecutor for a Clinton land deal that was 20 years old, but when it comes to outing a CIA agent there is no need for a truly independent investigation? Can you say DOUBLE STANDARD?

8. This is terrible news!
I was under the impression that a serious investigation was going on behind the scenes and that Wilson had supporters in high places who would make sure this was properly investigated. If Wilson himself is now pessimistic that is a very bad sign!

9. Why
would you think there was "a serious investigation" going on? Looks who is supposedly in charge of the investigation? The Attorney general himself. Think he is going to go after his boss in the White House? Wasn't that the Repub argument in the 1990s whenever there was any kind of accusation made against Clinton? That's why they pushed so hard for a special "independent" prosecutor during the 1990s. By the way, they are no longer pushing for one now. The truth and justice no longer matters until of course there is a Dem in the White House!

13. The Regime won't budge an inch
If they are not forced by some unforeseen party to disclose information, they just shift straight into cover up mode. Then when nobody calls them on the lies and mis-steps they high five and go on with the charade.
