Huffington apologizes for Clooney 'blog'
http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Movies/03/22/people.clooney.huffington.ap/index.html

Huffington acknowledged on her Web site Saturday that she was "blinded" to the issue of assembling a blog in which the source of the material wasn't clear, as was the case with Clooney.

"I now realize that I made a big mistake in posting a blog without clearly identifying that the material in it didn't originate as a blog post, but was pieced together from previous interviews," she wrote. "I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier."

.....Clooney's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, wasn't entirely satisfied.

"She didn't apologize to George, did she?" he said Tuesday. "An apology to the readers was appropriate. But to my knowledge, she has not apologized to George."

fwiw, I argued Arianna was in the wrong on this issue, but I still think the publicist is being quite the wanker.
George should get a new publicist.

In fact, the publicist should be glad he still has a job because it was he who passed the material back to Huffington, giving her the impression she could go with it. (As I understand it.)

2. Still.....
Did anyone think that it was anything other than Clooney blogging for HuffPo? It was a bit misleading....

5. I think there's enough responsibility to go around, and it would
all be a non-issue if, that first day, there had been a "I'm sorry", "No, I"M sorry" exchange between the publicist and Huffington.

The only one in the clear is Clooney who did not refute the words, but only the context. And THAT was still inspiring.

4. sorry. It was on the front of CNN as a new story and the short list
did not include it in LBN.
