A-G general candidate takes on federal wiretaps in first TV ad

ALBANY, N.Y. The first television advertisement of the New York state attorney general's race is taking on federal wiretapping without warrants.

The 30-second ad announced today by Democratic candidate Sean Patrick Maloney takes George W. Bush to task for the controversial eavesdropping issue, saying the president is outside his authority in using the wiretaps and is violating New York state law.

The ad will tomorrow evening on cable and network television stations in New York City, Albany, Rochester and Syracuse. It will begin running elsewhere Saturday.

The 39-year-old Maloney is a former Clinton administration aide.

4. I heard Sean Maloney speak recently; I was very impressed.
He really seems to have the moral compass, smarts and competence to take on the rampant corruption that is screwing us in this state and in this country. He faces a fairly large field in the Dem primary here, most of whom are not bad either, be he really towered above the opposition, in my opinion.

For those not up on NY politics, we have a very corrupt state system coexisting with a very liberal electorate. Elliot Spitzer, the current AG, is running for (and should win, easily) Governor. With Spitzer as Gov and Maloney as AG, we could actually make some progress in cleaning up the mess in this state.

Please take a good look at Maloney and consider supporting him!
