The US government, going back to at least the mid-1800's and earlier, has engaged in unsavoury, disreputable, criminal, evil, inhumane, and generally unpleasant behaviour of various sorts. However, the government is NOT the people, nor is it the country. The government is not "we". I rather take offence at the use of "we" in this context, in fact.

That not so transparent innuendo was enough for me to decide that this link is crap, total fricking anti-American crap.

I'm afraid you missed the point by about a mile-and-a-half. There was no innuendo that US soldiers committed rape on a 9-year old. What the animation was saying is that, according to the Geneva Convention, the occupying power is responsible for keeping the occupied country/territory safe from such acts as rape, murder, or other lawlessness. Although you may not read of such atrocities if you use Fox News as your source of "information", they are well-documented. It happens every day. Crime is rampant and the US is not doing much of anything to stop it.

I hope that this clarification has allowed you to reconsider, so that you may educate yourself and begin to base your conclusions on verifiable facts and not base them solely on incorrect assumptions. This is one of the traits that separate us from the Neanderthal side.
