Abramoff Given Time Off From Prison To Aid Investigators
I love this. He has to spill his guts until they say stop and then they throw his ass in prison for the first trial, and then there is more to come, plus he has to testify in the killing of Gus Boulus. Oh yes, I love to see this justice.

Miami, FL (AHN) - Lobbyist Jack Abramoff was awarded at least three months freedom before he’s securely placed behind bars thanks to a judge who has held off sentencing while he and former partner Adam Kidan aid investigators in additional Washington corruption investigations.

The two one time business partners and principles in a murder investigation have been ordered to assist investigators looking into allegations of some of those in Congress and the Bush administration.

The AP reports U.S. District Judge Paul C. Huck sentenced Abramoff and Kidan to five years and 10 months in prison for fraud in the 2000 purchase of SunCruz Casinos, the minimum sentence recommended under federal guidelines.

The two Washington insiders deny having any role in his death but were convicted of forgery regarding transfer and payment for the SunCruz company. And Kidan has been linked to two of the three men charged with Konstantino’s murder via check payments.
It’s rumored that if prosecutors are satisfied with Abramoff's and Kidan's assistance in the ongoing investigations, the sentences initially imposed on them could be reduced.

1. Murder via check payments
By Mark Coultan
March 31, 2006

FORSAKING his trademark fedora for a baseball cap, lobbyist
extraordinaire Jack Abramoff walked out of a Florida courtroom,
despite having just been sentenced to five years' jail for conspiracy and fraud.

Wearing a double-breasted suit and the cap, with his wife on his arm, the
one-time King of K Street Washington's lobbying centre was allowed to stay free
for the next few months because of his co-operation with an investigation into
the buying of congressmen.

Abramoff told the court: "I am much chastened and profoundly remorseful.
I can only hope that the Almighty and those whom I have wronged will forgive me my trespasses."

3. On to the Boulis murder trial Mr. Abramoff?
http://ftrsummary.blogspot.com/2006/03/ftr-542-interview-with-daniel_16.html

4. Noting some of the evidentiary tributaries running between Daniel’s books and his ground-breaking investigative pieces, Mr. Emory mentions that Atta and company visited one of the SunCruz casino boats on September 11th of 2001. (SunCruz was owned by the late Gus Boulis, a friend of the elder George Bush who was murdered gangland-style in February of 2001.) Daniel mentioned that there appear to have been at least four trips to SunCruz boats by Atta and company, perhaps to launder money. (For more about the Boulis murder and the takeover of SunCruz by GOP bigwig Jack Abramoff, see—among other programs—FTR#516.)

8. Jack's House
:hi: :loveya:

By HART SEELY
Published: March 31, 2006

These are the men
That fleeced the tribes
That paid the money
That made the bribes
That purchased the Congress that
Jack built.

This is the Duke
That sailed the yacht
That raised the eyebrows
And got him caught,
Who helped Mitch Wade,
Who bought Duke's land
And kicked in 700 grand;
Which raised Duke's taxes,
And gave Duke pain;
So Wade paid the tab
On Duke's capital gain.
Bigger than Abscam:
Randy "Duke" Cunningham!
Top gun in the Congress that
Jack built.

This is Bob Ney,
Who knew the fine print
That could pass a casino
And rev up its mint,
Who spawned the e-mail
Where Jack foretold:
"Just met with Ney.
"We're gold!"
And Ney in 2000,
A moment quite checkered
Ripped magnate Gus Boulis
In the Congress'nal Record.
His tirade was meant
To frighten the fellow,
Who cops say was shot
By Big Tony Moscatiello,
Who got a small fortune
From Jack's pal in D.C.,
A guy Ney said was known
For his "honesty."
Their pal was indicted
And then copped a plea
Guilty of fraud
And conspiracy.
For creating the vibes
That condoned the bribes
That corrupted the Congress that
Jack built.

This is DeLay,
Who built the machine
That redrew the districts
And raised the green,
That decided the races
That claimed the new seats,
That made the new friends
That owned luxury suites,
That held big galas
That brought the donations
That helped him to greet
The great Coushatta Nation!
With 800 members
And fund-stream support
From the famous Coushatta Casino Resort!
Which paid several million
For Jack to abort
A rival tribe's parlor
In nearby Shreveport,
Which prompted the letter
That outlined their claims
That went to Gale Norton,
Co-signed by these names:
Tom DeLay, Eric Cantor,
Roy Blunt, the chief whip,
Speaker Dennis Hastert.
That's the House leadership!
That played the game
And wears the shame
That hangs over the Congress that
Jack built.

This is the Jack,
Jack Abramoff,
Who bought the souls,
Then sold them off,
Who shook the hands
And financed the houses
And feted the staffs,
And hired the spouses,
And fleeced the tribes
And spread the bribes
That ransomed the Congress that
Jack built.

4. These sentences are for fraud not murder.
The murder thing is a different case.

7. "Jack has a relationship with the president," (Scanlon)
Some of their older comments are talking for them, too.

"Jack has a relationship with the president," Scanlon told a Florida newspaper in 2001.
....
And we're likely to get the answer even faster with Abramoff than in the CIA leak case
because, unlike reporters who fought to protect their sources, Abramoff and his
partner Mike Scanlon are spilling the beans to investigators.

11. A global network. (Jack Abramoff and Ben Waldman)
Two SunCruz executives, Jack Abramoff and Ben Waldman, are walking
examples of the strange alliance between the family-values party and
the gambling industry. Both men have strong ties to Pat Robertson’s
Christian Coalition, which is adamantly opposed to gambling; Waldman
was Robertson top aide in the televangelist's run for the presidency.

A man named Adam Kidan became Sun Cruz’s new chairman. Kidan’s
mother had been murdered in a gangland-style hit in New York.
Madonna’s one-time boyfriend and South Beach restaurateur Chris
Paciello, was eventually convicted in the case.

The Seminal Seminoles

The Seminole Tribe of Florida led the way in parlaying mom-and-pop
bingo parlors into today’s $19 billion a year Indian casino industry.
Along with legendary Chief James Billie Wrestles with Alligators Rob
Tiller was a seminal figure in this growth.

Tiller is also a South Florida aviation insider and former business
partner of terror flight school owner and secretive financier Wally Hilliard.
He even met Atta and Marwan one day after a meeting with Hilliard, he says,
with whom he was working on an airline start-up called Havana Air.

14. Gosh
If I were him I would just go to jail right now and get it over with. Six years still seems like a pretty hefty sentence. God that would be horrible. That said, he was a very bad man and has to pay for his sins.
