Bush: Americans worry if Iraqis 'can ever get their act together'
Associated Press

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - President Bush said Wednesday he realizes that Americans are worried that Iraqis will not be able to take control of their violence-torn country.

Bush said he hears the debate from those who "wonder if these people can ever get their act together and self govern. I'm confident they can if we don't lose our nerve."

Defending his decision to go to war in Iraq three years later, Bush said it was important that he follow up his words with action when Saddam Hussein refused to cooperate with the United Nations.

"When America speaks, we ought to mean what we said," Bush told the World Affairs Council of Charlotte. "I meant what we said when we embraced that resolution that said `Disclose. Disarm. Or face serious consequences.' Words mean something in this world if you're trying to protect the American people."

5. What does the Iraqi's getting their act together have to do with us
Edited on Thu Apr-06-06 11:32 AM by wisteria
having nerve? These idiots think we should stay in Iraq for however long it takes to show the terrorists we don't back down and until they call uncle. How long do you think this will take. This way of thinking could mean we will be forever at war in the Middle East, just like the Middle East has been at war with each other for what seems like many lifetimes. This is such a foolish policy that puts us in the middle of a civil war.
I say it is time to take the wind out of their sails and crimp their recruiting program. I like Senator Kerry's plan. Enough is enough. it is time to offer ultimatums and get out.

There is victory in not losing anymore soldiers lives in a war for democracy that the Iraqi people may not want and slowing down the terrorists recruitment network.

6. They do have their act together...
After 3 elections, Saddam's capture and the widespread belief that the US is not actually leaving, has unified the various groups as never before.

It's only the US citizens and their various champions that are confused by what's going on...

12. Blame someone else you freakin coward. It is YOUR fault
It is Condi's fault. It is Rumsfeld's fault.

You puny little coward. YOU caused it. IT is YOUR war. Your war of choice and gee you forgot that after you did your shock and awe little thingy and got the oil fields, after exploding bombs in the faces of children, babies, innocents,AND KILLING THEM, that you were responsible for restoring for what you destroyed, you puny little coward.

NOW you blame them. How very ungrateful are these people whose country you destroyed, who live without electricity, who are being killed in a civil war you failed to understand your actions caused, at an alarming rate.

Yup, you puny little frat boy coward. BLAME THE VICTIMS.
bLAME ANYONE BUT do not take responsibility for the horrors you have created in your lust for fame as the young Winston Churchill, your lust for money, your greed for power, your complete insanity in proclaiming a "pre-emtive" war is YOUR doctrine.

Resign your puny little coward. No one likes you anymore. You are embarrassment--I just saw a clip of you giving a speech somewhere as a walked through the living room. You ass--you are still whining and shouting about the freaking Saddam Husseing who you said fired on our airplanes. The people in the background did not look happy. Give it up. That crappy rhetoric does not cut it anymore and people are sick of you and your Saddam rhetoric.

How's that git em dead or alive Osama thing going?

13. Notice this statement,
"They can if we don't lose our nerve". RIGHT THERE he's taunting the American people. This is a crude form of shaming, or coercing people to do what you want, based on guilt.

If we want to get out of Iraq = we're cowards.

This is a Neanderthal thug-type tactic that works pretty well in bars. A drunken patron challenges his co-drinker. "I challenge you to a fight". The other gin-soaked drinker doesn't want to.

"Cmon, I said fight. Whassamadda....you skeered?"

Oh, come on...

If that little coward cheerleader prick ever challenged ANYONE to a fight in a bar after gedding gimselfsse drunk-dead, just picture the little pantsy bully: I mean, if his gin-soaked drinker acceptd the challenge...

Bushler: "Oops... Whaddive I done?? Where the heck is the toilet bowl? Me needs to "hide" under somthin' somewhere, quick..."

27. and what exactly IS getting their act together, George?
Bending over to an occupying force that has destroyed a noble sovereign nation, while going back on its promises to reconstruct what we ruined, and to build democratic institutions? George, I highly doubt ANYONE can ever beat your level of incompetence. You're right there with Robert Mugabe, being a classic example of criminal government mismanagement.

be the most ridiculous, Bush has now linked our destiny with whether or not the Iraqis can get their shit together. Get the fuck out now with a reservation of rights to annihilate any AQ target in Iraq that can be identified.
