Indian-American Candidate for US State Govornor Draws Worldwide Attention

Voters went to the polls in the southern state of Louisiana saturday to decid whether their next governor should be the son of immigrants from India or a woman of French/Acadian heritage. The candidacy of Indian-American Bobby Jindal, in particular, has drawn worldwide attention.
This is a big day for 32-year-old Piyush (Bobby) Jindal, win or lose. If he wins, he will become the first non-white person since the period after the Civil War to hold the office of governor in Louisiana. If he loses, he is young enough to use the experience to advantage in a future contest.

This is why I think he will win. One could say that in 2003 Republicans elected 2 governors, the media elected 2 more (Jindal and Scwarzenegger).

6. He "discovered" Christ when he decided to become a politician
and he praises George W. Bu$h. He realized that it would be difficult to be a politician in the deep south if he were not some type of Christian.

7. People of Indian decent are Caucasions and are really not non-white,
but Jindal used the non-white to his advantage because he wanted the blacks to think he was black. Indians have many different colors of skin. But they are all caucasians anthropologically. He is so much like George W.

in fact a few European languages are thought to have descended from the Indian Sanskrit languages...hence the classification Indo-European Languages

Almost all of them (except Basque and some Eastern European languages belonging to the Caucasian language family).

"Native American".
Indian-American, African-American, Asian-American.
