QUEEN'S TV IS TOTALLY BUSHED - Because of Bush visit
THE Queen was yesterday warned her telly will be out of action next week because of President Bush's visit.

Her Majesty is set to miss her favourite soap Coronation Street and the horse racing on Channel 4. She has been told Mr Bush's hi-tech private office, being installed at Buckingham Palace, will ruin her TV reception.

This means the Queen will miss crunch episodes of Corrie featuring the arranged marriage of dopey Roy Cropper and scheming Tracy Barlow.

A royal insider said: "This is more of an issue than people might think because Her Majesty is such a big fan of Corrie."

1. well, Bush should certainly get the "warm" reception that he...
deserves. They'll have to thaw him out with an icepick to get him back on AF1.

I'm sure Liz, Philip, and Charles will have a good old time zapping him with (much deserved) snide comments, that he would never understand.... I hope those around Bush with two or more synapsing neurons can stifle their chuckles...

4. England isn't like the US
In the US Bush could piss on a right winger's leg and make him believe it was raining.

2. weird. bush is so well-loved here, it just doesn't make sense that he'd
bother anyone across the pond with his massive secrecy, over-self-protection, and total selfishness. totally weird.

3. Her Majesty doesn't have cable?
At the very least, the producers should see that she gets a tape of the episodes....

I mean it's not like the world isn't falling apart around us, but all the queen cares about is missing her soaps? Geez.

19. Why should she miss them?
Why should the Queen of England have to give up her tv or anything else because of Stump? Do you really think that he will be using this hi-tech equipment?

7. Blanket statement..or generalism???
"President Bush, who arrives in Britain on Tuesday for a three-day stay, is unaware of the problem."

I think that sentence pretty much says it all...don't you?

15. I find this hard to believe
You mean that when Condi gives Dubya his daily updates on the news he doesn't read in newspapers she has failed to mentioned that the preparations for the royal visit are pissing off Queen Liz.

9. The horse race? Perhaps the Queen has a wager on ...
Carlyle or the Halliburton horse? Indeed, I can see how worried she'd be if junior was riding on her favorite in the race. So I don't believe her tilly is that big of a deal, 'eh?

The Royal Feast and counting dirty shillings is more important.

11. What kind of hi-tech equipment messes up TV reception?
One would think the Queen to have some sort of access to satellite TV or cable. I mean really, what kind of hi-tech equipment ruins television reception, other than something that intentionally is used to jam television frequencies? Maybe to keep Shrub's delicate eyesies from watching horrible, devilish BBC TV?

13. heh heh
well, the British are about to be "rewarded" for their friendship with Bush. I hope Tony Blair misses are few soap operas too, since this close friendship was his idea.

16. Jeez, now he's messing the telly. Is there anything bush* doesn't...
...Fuck Up?

Hell, you don't go around visiting your "friends" if you're on a respirator and a drip feed system. Just stay in the hospital and have them visit you, instead. This is NOT rocket science.
