Aruba official says arrest made in Natalee Holloway case

ORANJESTAD, Aruba - Authorities have made an arrest in the case of missing U.S. teen Natalee Holloway, an Aruban official said Saturday without providing details about the development in the high-profile case.

Mariaine Croes, a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office, said Aruban authorities were not prepared to disclose why the person was arrested or how they are allegedly connected to the disappearance of the American teenager on the Dutch Caribbean island nearly a year ago.

Croes would only say that the person who was arrested is 19 and has the initials "G.V.C." Authorities in Aruba typically only release a suspect's initials upon their arrest.

Holloway, 18, was last seen in public leaving a bar with three young men on May 30, the final night of a high school graduation trip to Aruba.

Along with every one of the judge, juror, and executioner who made a fat paycheck off of speculations and sensationalism. Imagine if this 19 year old admits to being guilty. Which one of them will be the first to retract a single one of the million accusations that they and their expert criminal investigators and lawyers made against the three other guys? I completeley understand how Ms. Halloway's parents could say thngs out of grief in order to learn the truth, but these talk show hosts only did it for ratings by rushing to judgement in the court of public opinion. It doesn't surprise me that this story wasn't thrown out like yesterday's garbage, never to be heard of again like the Chandra Levy tragedy was.......that's only because a bigger story or another 9/11 didn't happen as it did then.

Including obviously Joran.
And the hotel guards.
And the two friends of Joran.
And now this 19 year old.
So, excuse me if I am not entuzed they got someone actually involved this time.

Now it appears there's yet another lead that the Aruban government maybe should have been focusing on in the Natalee Holloway case… a tip from a woman who says she fought off a sexual assault by a half-naked man on the same Aruban beach just nine days before Natalee vanished. Aruban police have known about Tracy Allan’s narrow escape for almost eleven months, but are only doing something about it now. She told them she was almost dragged into this man’s car from the beach as he tried to sexually assault her. Why did it take so long for the authorities to take her story seriously? Only this week did they finally release a sketch of this man on a Dutch TV show that re-enacted what might have been the last hours of Natalee’s life.

Noticed as I was flipping channels. Guess she couldn't resist interrupting her Easter holiday for this story so important to those who don't have a life.

Great - now her mother will be all over the news again milking this for another 15 minutes.

Is the arrestee one of the 3 guys she did on the beach? Or maybe he simply procured the drugs for her.
