Senator (Coburn, R-Okla.) expects seven lawmakers to go to jail

WAGONER, Okla. U-S Senator Tom Coburn isn't naming names, but he expects six congressmen and a fellow senator will go to jail.

That's because he thinks they'll be facing corruption charges following investigations involving lobbyist Jack Abramoff and others.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Wagoner last night, Coburn said that "if you've been keeping up with things, you've got a pretty good idea" of who the seven lawmakers are.

The Oklahoma Republican says members of both parties have been involved in questionable dealings.

11. he was recently on Hardball re: illegal immigrants-then q's turned to his

corruption issues. Hayworth suddenly turned all mean and nasty (before this, he had been the calm "voice of reason" to slam against illegal immigrants) and started blaming this corruption talk on people who just want to bring him down and have no evidence to back up their claims.

He reminded me of G. Gordon Liddy, that lying criminal who did time for Watergate and Nixon dirty tricks. Just mean, nasty and lying.

7. Methodically Building a Case as each guy turns

The prosecutors are methodically building a case. As each guy is charged, they get him to turn into a witness against the next guy. Remember that Delay didn't resign from Congress until the third close aide of his plead guilty. He knew it was getting very close to him personally.
