Dump Cheney for Condi, Bush urged
The Sunday Times April 23, 2006

Dump Cheney for Condi, Bush urged
Sarah Baxter, Washington

REPUBLICANS are urging President George W Bush to dump Dick Cheney as vice-president and replace him with Condoleezza Rice if he is serious about presenting a new face to the jaded American public.

They believe that only the sacrifice of one or more of the big beasts of the jungle, such as Cheney or Donald Rumsfeld, the defence secretary, will convince voters that Bush understands the need for a fresh start.

The jittery Republicans claim Bush’s mini-White House reshuffle last week will do nothing to forestall the threat of losing control of Congress in the November mid-term elections.

Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard magazine and author of Rebel in Chief, a sympathetic new biography of Bush, said: “There are going to have to be sweeping personnel changes if people are going to take a second look at the Bush presidency.”

3. If Cheney volunteers, it could happen
and it would reverse his ratings slump until her connection to the crimes of the first term are repeated endlessly during the process. Even then, those desperately hoping all is not lost for his presidency might just revert to the old standard of blaming the liberal media - and maybe even racism -for picking on her. Isn't she sort of...revered?

26. I suspect if Bush were to replace Dick with Condi he would end up
alienaing more of his base and ending up with giving America the first black, female unelected president. Who knows, amybe that's the only way to get the first female into office in this country.

It would be funny as I doubt she'd have any chance at being reelected but would tie up the Republican Nom.

13. The one thing I like about this report is that it may mean that the
scuttlebutt in Bush crime circles is that Cheney is history, which may mean that he is going to be indicted in Treasongate.

As for Condi Rice, that would be cute--a black woman Bushite for president--but it won't fly, except with people like Andy Young (who said, in the Senate hallway, during Rice's nomination hearing, that the Democrats shouldn't criticize Rice because she is a black woman, thus shitting upon the only one of the two political parties that gave a crap about HIM in 1965!). Most black voters are very poor and don''t get to walk the halls of Congress. I don't think they'll buy it. Nor will anybody else.

Anyway, Condi's Bushite dirty. She's got 9/11 baggage, Iraq war baggage, and Treasongate baggage. She can't win in an honest election. Ahem.

23. If Cheney and Rove are indicted, an "insider" is totally out.
If Cheney and Rove are indicted, Cheney's replacement will not be up to Bu$h. It will be dictated by the GOP factions that are very tired of Bu$hco. That will probably be the case, too, if Rove is indicted and Cheney steps down on his own volition. These bastards have drawn way light from their "pot" of political capital. They are playing a political hand of aces-over-eights, now.

29. Sharp!
But that's why I was careful to say "They are playing a political hand of aces-over-eights, now." I intended that any allusion to that hand's fate be figurative only, with respect to the players' political careers. Know what I mean?

I am the decider. I mean, I make the decisions, and my decision is to keep Cheney. After all, he is the one who came up with the 9/11 idea that made me king. Don Rumsfeld, well, he's doin a heckuva job over there in Iran......uh, I mean Iraq. It's hard work! These guys have to work overtime sometimes. Jeez! And hey, if you think Cheney is a bad shot, you should see Condi shoot a shotgun!

As for dumping Cheney for Rice: Not Going To Happen!!! Just more MSM bullshit speculation, to hide the real stories.
As for Cheney resigning voluntarily--you'll see Cheney hunting in pink lingerie before that happens

A little of the bloom has been removed off the Condi rose in the last month or two -- especially with the Cultists who are ticked off at her admission that lotsa mistakes have been made in Dear Leader's war.

Let it happen. Another nail in the coffin. And the Cultists will NEVER support her for President.

25. We have got to get serious about getting Condi's crimes out in the public
eye. She has lied under oath. She lied about knowing about terrorists flying planes into buildings when Dick was conducting a drill of the same type on 9-11, which she certainly would have known about in her role. She has MANY crimes to be exposed.

You have got to be kidding? She's in this mess as much as anyone else. They are only angling to make her the next president. And if she becomes vice-president, that gives her a title which makes it all the more possible. Then she can continue on with the reigns of terror.

33. Proves their arrogance
The fact that this is even being talked about by Repugs shows the absolute arrogance of the Bushies and their contempt for the Constitution and the American people. Cheney was ELECTED, not appointed. If he was too ill to serve, that would be one thing. But they are talking about replacing Cheney with Condi for political reasons and I've even read he could become Sect. of Defense.

Why have elections at all if afterwards the Decider can just shift people around to wherever he decides he wants them?

34. Cheney will never step aside.
He is the power, he is the evil master mind.

Unless...

Unless, Condalicedus is holding something over all the evil empire to force them to do something such.

I think she must hold something over them to be where she is at now. For the repukes to place a woman not to mention a black woman in the position she currently holds is simply not very republican value oriented. Something is amiss there.

39. Nor do I want Darth to step aside
I love him there in a prominent public role. He is the true face of the neocon death cult, and we will get mileage out of his evil for many years to come.

Having said that, if Condi's the Veep, Bush will get a ratings bounce that would help his party in the mid-terms. It'd actually take some courage for him to bring her on if only due to the history and ongoing racial bigotry of so many Republican voters.

That's why it'll probably never happen.
