Rumsfeld Meets Frontline U.S. Troops in S.Korea
Rumsfeld Meets Frontline U.S. Troops in S.Korea
Tue November 18, 2003 02:55 AM ET

By Charles Aldinger
CAMP CASEY, South Korea (Reuters) - Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld visited the tense frontline between North and South Korea on Tuesday, meeting troops to be redeployed under a sweeping global reshuffle of American forces.

Rumsfeld assured South Korean leaders on Monday that Pentagon plans to realign the U.S. military global "footprint" would not diminish America's ability to deter North Korea or leave Asia's fourth-largest economy vulnerable to the North's huge army.

Rumsfeld flew by helicopter to Camp Casey -- one of 17 bases of the U.S. Army Second Infantry Division whose 14,000 troops have embodied America's security commitment to South Korea, guaranteeing a U.S. response to any North Korean attack.

The "2 ID" is clustered just 13 km (eight miles) south of the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ), a heavily mined no-man's land across which nearly two million soldiers from North and South Korea have faced off for decades.

"Our motto is 'Fight Tonight' and we mean it," said Major Tamara Parker, a spokeswoman for the division. (snip/...)

6. Uh-Oh...Back to his pre-9/11 job..."Let's see, now...Which base ..."

"...am I gonna close? Who wants to stay open? what are you willing to cut? Food service for the troops? EXCELLENT!"

This is what Rumsferatu was doing on Sept.11 2 years ago. He was on a "tour" inspecting army bases to see which ones would suck his cock to stay open...This scares me more than the CIA's blithering about the "chatter level"...Something's coming, I'll bet...

World Domination on The Cheap...That old PNAC SOB hasn't learned his lesson yet, has he?
