`The stuff is just scattered everywhere'

KABUL�Canadian soldiers collected and destroyed dozens of explosives on a mountainside just outside the capital of Afghanistan yesterday after discovering children carrying mortars like prized toys.

Military engineers, during a routine patrol near Kabul, were hoping to pick up one or two explosives believed to be in a dried riverbed.

But after two solid days of rain, searching the river for munitions was impossible.

Just as the soldiers were preparing to move on to their next stop, a few children began bringing them mortar shells.

Since the country has been at war, and used child soldiers, for decades.

Google "United Nations child soldiers"; the facts--worldwide--are appalling!

Shrub had me over there. Lots of kids tooting weapons of all calibers and manufactures...Many were turned into us for destruction, others were used against us.
