Iraqi Soldier Completes U.S. Army Ranger Training
A small milestone has been reached in the development of the Iraqi army.

The first Iraqi soldier has completed Ranger training at Fort Benning, Ga.

A strong Iraqi Army is a key component for American withdrawal plans from Iraq.

2. Gives a whole new meaning to "Army of ONE", doesn't it?
I was going to say "And that makes ONE!"

3. and he will soon put those skills to work in Iraq
against our own troops.

One Iraqi ranger after 3 years, at this rate we will have a squad of rangers by the end of next decade.

5. Gee, I hope he's on our side when he goes back home.
Kudos to the guy for completing the Ranger course, but who will he be fighting for in Iraq?

6. Maybe he will be the new Iraqi strongman
It could be he's being groomed for the job - there's nothing like a stint with U.S. forces for that. The U.S. prefers a strongman to an elected government anyway - they are more reliable puppets. We will have to see whether he chooses a "political" career in the next few years.

8. I'd hate to be those insurgents and have to face that massive army
of one Iraqi Ranger coming after them. Hoo boy! Freedom's on the march!

9. The enemy of my enemy is my friend...haven't we learned yet???
I'll give anybody 2-1 odds that this (or another) "Iraqi Ranger" will be shooting back at us within 15 years.

It's kinda frustrating...

:banghead:
