Iran President Rejects Europe Incentives
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Filed at 2:56 a.m. ET

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday rejected a potential European offer of incentives, including a light-water nuclear reactor, to give up uranium enrichment.

''Do you think you are dealing with a 4-year-old child to whom you can give walnuts and chocolates and get gold from him?'' Ahmadinejad told thousands of people in central Iran.

1. Wise to not ask people how stupid they think you are.
You may not like the answer you get.

Just saying.

6. Well, Ahmadinejad is not acting very wisely
He needs allies right now if he wants to gain anything in his current stand. At least some allies could intercede and mediate in case of a confrontation with the USA. Even the UN is telling him that he should back down in his nuclear ambitions.

The European deal may or may not be good, but Ahmadinejad is really acting like a spoiled brat. He really believes that because he signed an oil deal with Russia, that he is completely immune. All this while making vicious remarks about Jews and calling to "wipe Israel off the map." The guy is a menace, independently of anything else.

5. So it's really not about energy but about getting nukes.
Why reject the light-water reactor? I truely believe that Ahmadinejad wants a war.

7. My point exactly
If this is really about nuclear energy for peaceful means, why not take the European deal? It's a good alternative...

But it looks this is not really about nuclear energy for peaceful means. This is about Iran enriching its own uranium. For what purpose then?

I think he revealed his cards completely.

8. I think it is past time for Allah to take this guy out of the game and
plant his silly butt on the bench. Stupid is as stupid does. This fanatic is going to bring a world of hurt on many of his more moderate and reasonable countrymen. Don't the Mullahs want to live? Why don't THEY pull the plug on this head case?

10. bush plans to attack Iran regardless of what actions they take
Ahmadinejad knows this. He is playing his hand boldly
as he must - building alliances, acquiring weapons, standing
strong in the face of adversity.
Saddam caved to all US demands and it did not help his
cause one bit.
