Iran says would hit back against any U.S. attack

BAGHDAD, May 26 (Reuters) - Iran would hit back against any U.S. attack, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said during a visit to Baghdad on Friday.

"In the event that Americans attack Iran anywhere, Iran will respond with an attack in that place," he told a joint news conference with Iraq's speaker of parliament, Mahmoud al-Mashhadani.

Mottaki's remarks were translated into Arabic.

But he suggested he did not believe the United States would attack Iran, saying: "We don't see that America is in a position where it would create a new crisis for the American tax payer."

6. LOL...funny way of putting it!
But yes, they do have the right to defend themselves as any other country does.

3. This proves they are vicious terrorists.
It's not nice to strike back when The World's Only Superpower decides to attack.

4. It sounds like he is saying tit for tat
"In the event that Americans attack Iran anywhere, Iran will respond with an attack in that place," he told a joint news conference with Iraq's speaker of parliament, Mahmoud al-Mashhadani."

In other words, he is attempting to defuse the notion that Iran would hit Israel in response to a U.S. attack, or the mainland of the U.S. (conventionally or unconventionally). Maybe he is even implying that they wouldn't use their influence in southern Iraq.

They obviously don't want the U.S. to have any justification for overwhelming escalation of some minor incident.

5. Wrong!
"We don't see that America is in a position where it would create a new crisis for the American tax payer."

Dam, seems like they don't pay very good attention! The BFEE doesn't give one DAM about the American tax payers! The BFEE steals our money and then puts us all on 'credit' so they can raise the debt ceiling and charge, charge, charge! Mottaki either doesn't get it or he does and made a funny.

8.  **PETITION AGAINST MILITARY ACTION AGAINST IRAN**
It is with grave concern that I observe the growing threat of a new U.S. war--this time against the people of Iran.

For a collection of articles and resources on this subject you can visit this link: http://reseaudesign.com/research/iran/iran_summery.html

I'm starting up a petition which I will be sending out to as many members of Congress as possible. I'm asking for help to get this signed by as many people, possible in the next month. Send it to as many people you can.

thanks,
J-shmoe
