BBC: Two held in terror raid released
Two held in terror raid released

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/5066166.stm

Two men arrested by the Metropolitan Police after a raid on a house in east London have been released without charge, Scotland Yard said.
Police questioned two brothers - one of whom was shot during the raid - on suspicion of terrorism involvement.

Mohammed Abdul Kahar and brother Abul Koyair both denied the allegations.

Anti-terror police raided the house at Forest Gate last week after saying they received "specific intelligence" that a chemical device might be found.

5. No hospital bill
but the police are likely to get one for wrongful arrest quite apart frorm restoration of the house which has probably been ripped apart in a fruitless search for chemicals whatever.

3. You have to give the Brits credit on this. The US would have held
these two indefinitely - just for the hell of it and for appearances sake.

7. Muslims in the area were starting to protest
I think that had a factor in this ending now. So far there had been little complaint about the periodic raids on innocent people, I think also because someone got shot.

If the police regularly raided and arrested white people and later released them with no charge (unless they happened to find something else illegal) there would have been an instant outcry because your average person would think "hey that person is like me, perhaps one day I will be raided and demonized by the police for no reason".

6. Plus one mole got burned.
The raid most likely outed a snitch inside the muslim jihadist community. There are many things not good about this, fortunately nobody ended up dead.
