EXCLUSIVE: No Deal for Karl Rove
Sometimes people just don't know when to cry "uncle." I do. I asked Robert Luskin this morning if Karl Rove has made a deal with Fitzgerald. His response:

There has never, ever been any discussion of a deal in any way, shape or form.

Which is exactly what Luskin told me weeks ago. It's over, folks. Karl Rove will not be charged with a crime. He's cooperated with Fitzgerald by testifying to the grand jury five times and providing whatever information he had without a safety net. Without a 5k. Without assurances he would not be indicted. That's a hell of a risk, but Luskin pulled it off. My hat's off to Luskin.

edit: LeftNYC's comment: Lets work to win in November.

2. That is actually my comment...
but Jeralyn I think is saying the same thing...

"Its time to move on, its time to get going"-Tom Petty

I still want to know if Luskin got a letter, dammit!

9. Sorry. I realized that on going to Jeralyn's site
then edited my post, just to make it seem more nonsensical.

3. So forgeting a call to Cooper gets a pass - wonder if there may be
other items that might firm up in the future and allow Fitz to have the grandjury indict?

4. And you believe....Karl Rove's lawyer? Or is this a joke?
My comment: Let's work to win in November and BEYOND, no matter what happens in November with the new Bushite-controlled electronic voting systems run on "TRADE SECRET," PROPRIETARY programming code--code so secret that not even our secretaries of state are permitted to review it--with virtually no audit/recount controls. We need to think long term about restoring transparent elections and recovering our right to vote. Fight hard in November, against what is likely to be a 5% to 10% "thumb on the scales" for Bushites and warmongers-- we CAN overcome it, in some cases; we have 70% of the country, for godssakes!--but MONITOR the elections closely, challenge suspicious results, gather evidence, make the case against these machines in the local/state venues that still control their purchase (and where ordinary people still have some influence), and DO NOT ACCEPT THE RESULTS OF NON-TRANSPARENT VOTE COUNTING.

How can candidates like Busby (and Kerry for that matter) accept the results of these non-transparent, Bush-corporate run voting systems?! I don't understand it. But clearly we citizens must take the lead, if we ever want to have real elections in this country again.

Rove is neither here nor there. He merely writes the pre-ordained narratives for Bushite "victories" in what can only be called a Stalinist voting system (and may well have been a relatively minor player in the Rumsfeld/Cheney plot to destroy the CIA and especially its WMD counter-proliferation network). We need to concentrate on the MECHANISM OF POWER: our right to vote.

7. Much agreed...
I was just posting what Jeralyn reported. Moving on or fighting against Rove in other areas. Thats all. Not a joke.
