Rush Limbaugh jokes about Viagra find
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060627/ap_en_ot/limbaugh_viagra

Limbaugh joked about the search on his radio show Tuesday, saying Customs officials didn't believe him when he said he got the pills at the Clinton Library and he was told they were blue M&Ms. He later added, chuckling: "I had a great time in the Dominican Republic. Wish I could tell you about it."

It is generally not illegal under Florida law for a physician to prescribe medication in a third party's name if all parties are aware and the doctor documents it correctly, said Mike Edmondson, a spokesman for the state attorney in Palm Beach County. He would not discuss specifics in the Limbaugh case Tuesday.

The sheriff's office was continuing its investigation and would soon turn the case over to prosecutors, Edmondson said. The alleged violation could be a second-degree misdemeanor if Limbaugh's doctor doesn't confirm the prescription.

This latest case may simply be dismissed if prosecutors can confirm with Limbaugh's doctor that the prescription was indeed for Limbaugh, said Kendall Coffey, a former U.S. attorney in Florida.

the nation (well, the rational ones, anyway) rejoices in glee knowing that, at best, Rush's dependence on Viagra to enable his flaccid two inch dick (which he probably hasn't seen in decades anyway), is now public knowledge. Remember how desperately he and his lawyers fought last year to keep this information sealed from prying eyes. Now we know....Rush's dick is as limp as his logic.

28. CNN/AP: Viagra threatens Limbaugh plea deal
Viagra threatens Limbaugh plea deal
Prescription was not in Limbaugh's name, authorities say
Tuesday, June 27, 2006

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (AP) -- Rush Limbaugh could see a deal with prosecutors in a long-running prescription fraud case collapse after authorities found a bottle of Viagra in his bag at Palm Beach International Airport. The prescription was not in his name.

Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at the airport after returning from a vacation in the Dominican Republic.

Customs officials found the Viagra in his luggage but his name was not on the prescription, said Paul Miller, a spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Miller said the alleged violation could be a second-degree misdemeanor. The sheriff's office was investigating and will soon turn the case over to the state attorney's office, which had no immediate comment Tuesday.

Under the deal reached last month with prosecutors, Limbaugh was not to be arrested for any infraction for 18 months in exchange for authorities deferring a charge of "doctor shopping."...

31. Viagra labeled as issued to his physician?
...Limbaugh's doctor had prescribed the Viagra, but it was "labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes," Roy Black, Limbaugh's attorney, said in a statement.

Obfuscating mumbo-jumbo. I'll assume (as I'm not a man) that most guys protect their privacy by not leaving their Viagra lying out on the bedside table or bathroom counter. And if someone finds a bottle of Viagra in your house or hotel room, they're going to assume you're the one using it even if it doesn't have your name on it.

Also, that doctor deserves some scrutiny if it's true he did this. There's something ethically wrong with writing an Rx for someone else under your own name.

This sounds like baloney. I can't believe a doctor can order misrepresentations on a prescription label.

On edit - If it is legal, they better check into whether this doctor was prescribing Oxycotins to himself and giving them to Limbaugh.

Edited on Wed Jun-28-06 03:20 AM by BrightKnight
I bet he signed a probation agreement acknowledging that being anywhere near any kind of lewd or questionable behavior was a violation. People on probation are expected to behave like Baptist ministers. The conduct does not have to be anywhere near illegal.

Did he get approval to leave the country? He would have signed a request to leave paper. What was the stated purpose of the trip?

Did he report any and all questionable activity to his supervising officer.

Was he drinking alcohol?

Why did he go to so much trouble to take Viagra to the Dominican Republic? It is impossible to believe that he expected any women to instantly jump into bed with his ugly fat ass.

I don't see how they could justify applying a different standard to to him. He should be treated the same as anyone else.

NO SUPERVISING OFFICER WOULD PUT UP WITH THIS!

An unmarried, uncommitted, man travels out of the country to engage in promiscuous sex with strangers, and he's still a victim? He then jokes about his depraved immorality? He's the best spokesman the right can dredge up to showcase their moral superiority?

Pray to God, that the men he was with are willing to cash in with the National Enquirer, and the boys he abused get the years of counseling they'll need to lead functional lives.
