1. Interesting that the news wires have the story but
many news websites don't post it or only post
the daily AP summary.

Two U.S. soldiers killed in Baghdad - AP

The Iraq news is out there, but one now has to hunt for it.

2. Pile the bodies higher!

Grass Bush

Pile the bodies high in Austerlitz and Waterloo Iraq
Shovel them under and let me work--
I am the grass; bush; I cover all.

And pile them high in Gettyburg Baghdad
And pile them high in Ypres and Vedum Mossoul and Al Fallaujah

Two years, ten years, and passengers ask the conductor:
What place is this?

I am the grass bush.
Let me work.

4. USA TODAY HEADLINE- Bush: 'Bring on' attackers of U.S. troops
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Bush said Wednesday that American troops under fire in Iraq aren't about to pull out, and he challenged those tempted to attack U.S. forces, "Bring them on."
"We got the force necessary to deal with the security situation," President Bush said of U.S. troops in Iraq.

"We'll stay the course in Iraq," Bush said. "We're not leaving until we accomplish the task, and the task is going to be a free country run by the Iraqi people." He and his aides offered no timetable for the withdrawal of American forces.

5. It's very significant this happened in Sadr City
The U.S. attacked the "Mehdi Army" last week, and now they are striking back.

Sadr's guys aren't exactly an army. They're more like very large local volunteer police forces in certain areas. However, they've gotten quite good at defending their local turf.
