I thought the FBI was "complaining" about their efforts to investigate terrorism...wasn't that the issue from Coleen Rowley (FBI whistleblower)....looks like FBI is the 911 scapegoat.

I have read that time and again since Sept. 11, most recently in Greg Palast's lastest interview. Will this come out in the investigation? I won't hold my breath... :grr:

I believe it was Bodine, if not someone else. Anyway, we all know what happened to him.

What about those 3 whistleblower agents who tried to get their superiors to listen? In fact, they were so alarmed that they went over their supervisor's heads to send the stuff to Washington and were STILL told to shut up and go away??

The question is: who told their supervisors to back off and stop the investigations. Sounds like the FBI, the agents at least, were doing their jobs.

Yes and to my knowledge that is all that investigation revealed: that someone at a higher level did IN FACT impede the FBI investigators the field as Charlotte Ramsey had accused. Once again however, they failed to push it and we were never to exactly WHO at the highest level impeded this investigation or WHY they wanted it impeded.

All the investigations thus far are strangely inconclusive as far as real specifics involved. Why I don't have much hope regarding Uraniumgate either. They will just go to the edge, but no far...as per is usually the case.

budget priorities before 9-11, despite the generally known growing threat posed by al Qeada, that considerable FBI resources had been recently dedicated to tracking down whores in New Orleans, raiding marijuna-for-medical-purposes-facilities in California, and smashing the right to die movement in Oregon? After all, we must keep our priorities in order. But there I go dwelling on minutiae and failing to give proper credit for the drafting of a very lengthy, complex, and convoluted Patriot Act (I) in but a few weeks, an Act which possibly infringes more liberties granted in the Bill of Rights than had heretofore been infringed in aggregate, a colossal achievement in such a short period of time. So let's give credit where credit is due.

This pissed me off when the findings of the investigation was first reported in 2002, got a vague mention. As I said just answered that YES indeed the field investigators WERE impeded. Did not go any farther than that AND as usual no even remembers it...

Look at the chinese ... in 10s of thousands protesting new legislation that they felt would infringe upon civil rights and freedom of speech. The chinese took to the street for a week... singing WE SHALL OVER COME...

A few months after al-Bayoumi took them to San Diego, Almihdhar and Alhazmi moved into the house of a local professor who was a longtime FBI “asset.” The prof also had earlier contact with another hijacker, Hani Hanjour. But even though the informant was in regular touch with his FBI handler, the bureau never pieced together that he was living with terrorists.



The two guys in the MSNBC story are the same two guys in this story that was published in the Spectator last November.

The link comes from the July 28 issue of Newsweek..... What's up with the timing? Does this mean that congress will release the report this week? Then the magizine can publish the "news" after the official release date? .....My 2nd question is: Will this be the anti-chimp story of the week for this week? And what about the Cheney papers: when does that story hit the fan? I'm getting the impression that reporters are very cautious about checking their sources these days....I guess that I'm just hoping that the heat stays on & maybe even gets turned up.

I actually heard that this morning on Fox but I can't find a link anywhere. Honest to God, one of the morning dolts mentioned it and said that it brings about questions of a cover-up.

Questions about the Saudi role arose repeatedly during last year’s joint House-Senate intelligence-committees inquiry. But the Bush administration has refused to declassify many key passages of the committees’ findings. A 28-page section of the report dealing with the Saudis and other foreign governments will be deleted. “They are protecting a foreign government,” charged Sen. Bob Graham, who oversaw the inquiry.

and that the CIA's job was international terrorism performed by international terrorists on our soil?
