Officials probe Lieberman Web site crash

By PAT EATON-ROBB, Associated Press Writer 19 minutes ago

HARTFORD, Conn. - U.S. Sen.
Joe Lieberman's campaign Web site remained offline Thursday, and federal and state authorities were investigating why it crashed on the eve of this week's defeat in a high-profile primary.

The site, Joe2006.com, appeared to have suffered from a so-called "denial of service" attack, in which computers overwhelm a site with fake traffic so real visitors can't get through, said Richard M. Smith, an Internet security consultant in Brookline, Mass.

The Lieberman campaign denied speculation among liberal Web pundits that the centrist Democrat's Web site had simply crashed because it used a low-budget Web host unable to handle the volume.

Web hosting can cost anywhere from a few dollars a month for a personal Web site to thousands of dollars for large corporate sites.

1. I have this sick feeling...
that they will find a way to blame Lamont supporters. I just hope that no one on the Lamont team or a supporter outside the team was responsible. That would not look good at all.

Hopefully they will discover that LIEberman lived up to his name and LIED!!

2. Another Rovian stunt...

Here we go again.

First Joey issues a press release--accusing Lamont of being racquetball buddies with several members of Al Queda.

Now--we have Lieberman calling for an investigation regarding his Web site. The comments clearly indicate that he's attempting to cast a shadow on Lamont and his supporters. Like Rove always does---when you can't win--you attack, attack, attack--tearing down your opponent's strenghts until he's a hollow husk with no credibility.

It's just like they did with Kerry. Kerry was a war hero, so they attacked his war hero status. Lamont is an honest, likable, moral guy. So Lieberman and his attack dog Rove will now proceed to try and tear apart Lamont's strengths and his stellar character.

Lamont had better fight back against these dobermans. We all saw what 'lying down and taking it'--did for Kerry.

Nip it in the bud, NOW Ned--or you'll be defending yourself on CNN--against assertions that you're a crack-ho pimp and that you've got a fetish for Persian cats.

Fight like hell against these amoral cretins!

5. Hey AP! LIEberman is no longer a Democrat. And he's not "centrist"
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 04:53 PM by w4rma
either. 60% of America opposes the Iraq War and LIEberman wants to **expand** the war.
